NV ENC ERR INVALID VERSION

Tried this before but as I'm not a gamer, I don't know what version of NVIDIA I need to install to run OBS. Attached is the Fail Note I get when trying to do anything in OBS. ASUS Zenbook Pro Windows 10 laptop.

My crystal ball seems to be broken as I can't tell what Nvidia GPU is installed in your Zenbook. It may or may not have an encoder, here's a link support matrix.

HEY FOLKS!! I solved the NVENC problem!!
I got the answer on another forum. You go into Settings: Output and find "Encoder". If it is set to NVENC...change it to X264. Glory hallelujah, it works!!!!!!!

woodswalker, unless you're joking it just changes the encoder to cpu encoding, which is exactly the solution you don't want if you're trying to fix gpu encoding.

as for the op, try updating graphics drivers.
