NTP timestamp in RTP used to sync streams?

Hi all, I'm wondering, if the RTP stream has an NTP timestamp in it*, does OBS use that timestamp to synchronize multiple streams?

*Apparently the NTP timestamp is optional, in which case an internally generated timestamp is used instead. https://stackoverflow.com/a/6150650/8429794

Should not the time stamps be correct if the computer running OBS is synced with a ntp server?
