Question / Help Noticeable performance difference

I have been using OBS Classic for the past six months for recording. A friend of mine showed me OBS Studio and have decided to switch over. But While using OBS Studio, i notice much more lag (more CPU usage) than when using OBS Classic. As soon as i open OBS Studio a process called Desktop Window Manager starts using about 20% of my CPU (without even recording). Anyone know if this is normal?

PC Specs:
AMD FX 6300 (OC to 4.2ghz)
16GB RAM
GTX 960 2GB
1TB 7200RPM HDD

WDM is part of windows fancy effects, like glass texture on your window borders, smooth animations/transitions when dragging, alt+tab'n, and anything else that moves around on your desktop, try adjusting those settings by going to control panel - System - Advanced - Under Performance (Settings) - Then hit the radio button for best performance or customize it like i did.

See if that kinda alleviates the CPU usage a bit.

That kinda helped, it lowered the CPU usage from 20% to 17%. I just don't know what the issue is, i never had this issue using OBS Classic or any other programs
