Hello, so I am posting because nothing is outputted with display capture, despite it detecting the screen. To show you what I mean, here is a screenshot:

I don't know what else to do, as I haven't seen anybody else have this issue (I probably didn't look for long enough though). It originally was both were blank, but after doing what https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/laptop-black-screen-when-capturing-read-here-first.5965/ wanted me to, changing the setting on NVIDIA Control Panel to integrated graphics for OBS, as well as running the program as administrator, it changed to this.

Here is my log file: https://obsproject.com/logs/Gzl3nVdPy0-5Q3WH

And apologies if this is a common problem and I'm just filling the forums.

How did you fix it? I'm having the same issue.
With no red outline box in the Preview, and the Padlock icon un-locked, and the Display Capture selected in the Sources list?
Most likely the transform (eg: position and size) got messed up somehow, or got placed somewhere outside the Preview.

You can click the source in the Sources list, then CTRL+R, CTRL+F (reset transform, fit to screen) to fix that.
If that doesn't work, right-click the source in the Sources list, go to Transforms, select 'reset transform'. Then do it again, and select 'fit to screen' from the list instead of 'reset'. Sometimes I've had those shortcuts fail to work for some reason and had to do it that way.

Tried this, but to no avail. Still having a big black screen on Display Capture, Window Capture working as expected.

I tried everything I found in the forums (including using the Nvidia control panel to set use integrated graphics etc) and the only way I could get display capture to work on my laptop was to go into device manager and actually disable my Nvidia Quadro and leave the integrated graphics. I spent hours trying everything else I could find and this was the only thing that worked.

In Windows 10 1903 and onward, Microsoft changed GPU selection. You CANNOT use the nVidia Control Panel any more.
Here is the new selection method. Please do not disable your GPU, that's like cutting off your foot because your toe is itchy.
