Not possible to capture Microsoft.photos.exe?

Hi,

I am a new member. I have noticed that when I try to capture photos with Microsoft photos (windows 10), I just see a black screen even though all 4 photos are open, not even minimized or anything. I was wondering if this has not yet been implemented. Could not find any answers that is why I am making this thread.

Thank you

Anyone reading this thread, could you conduct the little experiment and tell me if it works for you? If it works for you, I may be doing something wrong, or I might need to adjust something. Thanks : )

It seems to be a general problem trying to capture this particular application, both with Window Capture and with Game Capture, in any of the modes/options they provide. The only way it will capture is with Display Capture, which is potentially dangerous as that will capture any programs that happen to pop up on the screen, including notifications from other apps which could contain private information etc.

I think it is probably better to use a 3rd party program for slideshow that does work with capture in OBS properly however I don't have any specific recommendations other than to try other programs at the moment.
