Hi all. First off, let me say this application is absolutely amazing! I'm sorry for the newbie questions, but I'm hoping some of you seasoned streamers can help me out. I was trying to set up a bit of a "proof of concept" for my specific application. My specifications are a bit weak, but I thought it might work for a PoC. First gen Intel i7, 16GB RAM, and a ATI/AMD Radeon HD 5770. I don't necessarily think I'm maxing out resources, at least the meters at the bottom don't seem to be pegging or anything.
I'm seeing about a 3 second delay to my final destination over gigabit LAN to a FireTV stick running VLC. I'm using the "Start Recording" feature to send it to the stick's IP address via UDP. I've tried gigabit LAN to another PC as well. Is there any way to reduce that delay? I know that's not bad, but in my application you can hear the live music in the place that the display is, so I'm trying to get the delay as minimal as possible.
Was maybe thinking like a GeForce 1050 or 1060 to help with encoding?
I'll have two cameras, an NDI source (possibly two) going to one computer. Ideally I'd like to record my stream, stream to YouTube live, then also stream locally to Rokus, FireTVs, or Apple TVs that are on the network (I realize I may need a second computer to do this. I was using VLC to do this on a second computer to host the stream and then point the VLCs to that device to receive).
Thoughts?
