Question / Help Noob questions ( Canon G7x, Canon xa50 & EGPU- Blackmagic2)

HI All,

Here are my specs
Macbook Pro 2018 - 2.9ghz corei9/32gb with a blackmagic2 egpu

My questions are ;
Will OBS work with the EGPU for connecting my camera's? Canon XA50 and Canon G7x MKII. Do I need a capture card?
Also For one of my windows box I'm looking at purchasing another EGPU.....will it work?
I won't be live streaming at all just doing a lot of youtube lessons /tutorials. Maybe streaming in the future.

EGPUs don't have the interface speeds necessary to be usable with OBS.
And you need a capture card. EGPUs are output only, not input.

thanks Harold this helps. I bought a camlink 4k and it works with my new XA50 canon. Now I just have to figure out how to remove the square in the middle of the 99% clean layout.
