noob question, shared text is blurry

so i have a display capture, of my second monitor. people on the other end were complaining that the text i put up was blurry. The are seeing it because i am using the obs-video in zoom. my output mode is 'simple', the video bitrate is 2500kbps. my base resolution is 1920x1080, and the output resolution is 1280x720. it won't let me change it because i have an output active. so there are two questions
1. how do i stop the output so i can change that setting, and
2. what should i change the setting to?
