Question / Help Noob question: Output to TV instead of stream?

I'm not sure if OBS is the right solution for what I want to do but I have a TV hooked up to a PC that is showing an application. I want to create overlays such as scrolling text and logos that would be shown on top of the window the application is running in. It looks like I can do that pretty easily with OBS and have it stream to a streaming provider but can I use OBS to just stream that content live to a local TV?

Via right-click menu options: Fullscreen Projector (Scene) or Fullscreen Projector (Preview), you can preview content on attached display (choose proper one if you have two or more). 'Esc' to exit.
