I've been streaming events via Flash Media Encoder for a while (the quality killed wirecast), and after a recent new built PC I decided to try out OBS. The quality wasn't bad, but it wasn't "full" screen, meaning it had black boxes around the recording.
The Setup:
4 720p HD Panasonic Cams HD DVC Pro Switcher Blackmagic capture card (HD-SDI from switcher into USB pc) Ryzen PC (ryzen 7 1700, 16gb ram, gtx 1080i) Upload speed unfortunately is capped at 6mbps (the cameras are also recording at 60fps)
My output stream settings I left at 3500 bitrate, fast, high profile, and upscaled to 1080 YouTube preset 29.97.
The audio seemed to be off also, so maybe I need to change the output to stay at 60fps?
Any ideas about getting the best quality with this setup? (Recording and streaming simultaneously)
