Question / Help No video...

I'm new to this; hope you can help me out. Got OBS up & running yesterday but recordings of streaming video I've made have no video (and so-so audio.) Thank you.

Thanks. Well, it's a protected streaming video from a website (devoted to health & fitness, if that matters), and the video runs only a few minutes, and what else...? BTW, I did try a music vid off YouTube but I had the same result: no video. I mean, a file of some kind hit my downloads folder but nothing on it except crappy audio. Hope this makes sense! I tried using the OBS Log Analyzer. I copied the 'View Current Log' file off OBS, and pasted it on the Analyzer and then submitted it; I got the message: "This does not appear to be a complete OBS log. Please make sure you include the entire file." Why isn't it a complete OBS log? Also, I consulted the 'Uploading logs to the forum' notice and I read the following:
"enclose it in [ code] brackets (select the log text in the post editor and click the "Code" button at the top of the editor..."
I don't understand this. What & where is the 'post editor'? Thanks.

@GilesWapshot The video doesn't matter.Also the Log Analyser is a bit old(quote from an OBS dev).I don't recommend you use that.You can upload logs to the forum like your first message in this thread.

About your problem,mind taking some screenshots of your settings(Tip:ez way to do is to press Command+Shift+3)?

You said you want to capture a video from a website,right?Well,you're using Video Capture Device,which is meant for webcams and certain game capturing cards.Try using Display Capture or Window Capture.I recommend the former.

Thanks very much, it's working now. And, a friendly suggestion for OBS: if the Log Analyzer is obsolete, then why not take it down so nobody has to waste time trying to get it working? Cheers.

It's not obsolete until OBS classic isn't supported anymore.
