No Video

I have connected a Nintendo Switch to Macbook Pro via an HDMI-to-USB capture card. I added a Video Capture Device and selected USB input. I followed the instructions on several videos, but I get a blank screen when I should see the video. Can't tell if it's an issue with the Nintendo dock, the capture card, or the internal connection to the laptop. Is there someway to send a test video signal to help with trouble shooting?

It's a problem with your capture card. Not every brand of capture would work on Mac. This capture card should work fine.
