No video output saved on disk

I had 2 recordings now where OBS didn't create any file on disk, and doesn't shut down recording until you force quit OBS.

I made sure to check the output directory in case it had reset but it seems fine.

Is there a way to prevent this in the future?

1. Run OBS as Administrator. Right click on the OBS shortcut, properties, advanced, check box, ok, apply, ok.
2. The Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling ("HAGS") feature in Windows is currently known to cause performance and capture issues with OBS, games and overlay tools. It's an experimental feature and we recommend disabling it via these instructions.
3. Display and Game Capture Sources interfere with each other. Never put them in the same scene (Game Screen Cap).
4. Multiple Game Capture sources are usually not needed (Scene: Gambatte), and can sometimes interfere with each other. You can use the same Game Capture for all your games! If you change games often, try out the hotkey mode, which lets you press a key to select your active game. If you play games in fullscreen, use 'Capture any fullscreen application' mode.
5. Check your Z:/Daily Recording/ directory.

I did steps 2-4, I did not know about the interference issues. I have made the changes that were advised.

As for running OBS as an adminstrator as I did not have issues before, what issues could have come up that resulted in OBS not creating a file on a non-OS disk, that can be solved by Admin rights?
Expect for the issues here I have had no troubles at all with running OBS in user mode.
As for step 5, that directory is my standart recording directory, it did not create a file there.

Are other 3rd party, non-Windows programs able to save files to that drive or just OBS?
Can OBS save files to other non-OS disks or just that Z drive?

It is strange. Windows can power off devices that are not in use. Return from hibernation or other deep sleep, or power saving modes, not always works well. This also can be bug in OBS code that known to nobody. It may be useful to restart OBS before each new recording.

Yes, other programs can write to the disk, it has not yet been a problem. OBS can write to other disks, if I switch the output.

I'll do the OBS restart. I don't use hibernation or such modes and made sure to disable quick starts. It is an internal drive M.2 NVMe drive and CDisk gives it a clean bill of health.

Are your OS running in Performance mode or Balanced (I'm not sure how they named these days, but something from Power plan/options)?
