Question / Help No video card displayed

In Advanced tab my GPU doesn't appear, nor is the drop down menu box active. Is this normal? Also, I'm streaming MS Flight Sim X to Twitch, the dashboard says my streaming config is 'excellent' but is buffering way too much. Seems like my upload speeds should be adequate at 6 - 15MB/sec, but it is just too slow apparently. I'm concerned I might be using too much CPU even though my system should handle it.

Indeed it is normal.

The sweet spot for bitrate is 2000, not 2500

Yes.

You appear to be dropping frames during some of your stream attempts, follow the troubleshooting steps at https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/dropped-frames-disconnecting-lag-read-this-first.8870/

Thank you guys, you have both been very helpful. There is a problem with OBS affecting the drop down menus on my installation and I was unaware of the many Twitch servers. This is solved by minimizing other apps. So I found one server that reduced the lag by about 90%. Also, I totally forgot about the problems trying to upstream with a wireless connection. It fluctuates too much to be 100% reliable.

I don't have a choice about internet service right now, so I'll have to make due with slightly less than perfect broadcasting.
