No sound input from Scarlett solo usb

Hi,
I have tried the same audio capture setup on a Windows 10 And windows 11 machines. When I speak Into the microphone a knob on the audio interface changes colour while it is picking up audio.
In OBS I have an audio input capture set to the Scarlett, but the sound meters on OBS don't show any activity. I tried recording even that way and in fact there is no sound.
I have the same setup on two Macs (one intel, another apple silicon) and there OBS records sound from the same hardware.
Is there anything I can do ?
Thanks,
Regards

Check if your application (OBS) has enough permissions to access this input device. Permissions can be granted in the OS settings. Something like this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/app-permissions-aea98a7c-b61a-1930-6ed0-47f0ed2ee15c or more general info: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...-privacy-8b3b13bc-d8ff-5460-8423-7d5d5c1f6665

In years all this settings and "security" options (Desktop, Metro, Cloud app/features etc) became over complicated in the OS. Due to OS updates it is hard to write some robust instructions that surely works for every system. Thus, look "somewhere, near the permissions".

I went to the place you suggested in settings and the microphone is enabled globally and for OBS. Only catch here is that I don't know if the audio interface appears as a microphone in windows. I don't know where else to look for permissions. Below is a screenshot of my microphone settings :

Hi,
I went to Focusrite website and saw that for windows you need a device driver. I installed it, and now I get sound in OBS from the microphone.
