Idk if anyone can help me but I’m having trouble with the sound. With it without headsets I hear nothing. It’s showing volume changes from the game but I can’t hear it at all. If a play music from Spotify it works. If I pull up a video from YouTube it works. Just not in OBS and I need help.

Also, if it helps I’m trying to stream the Nintendo switch on the Mac. Again, everything is working except for the sound and I have already downloaded ishowU Audio Capture.

Set your hardware audio device (speakers or headphones) as your Monitoring Device in Settings > Audio

In the Mixer (Advanced Audio Properties) set the sources you want to hear to "output and monitor"

Im not sure if I did this right. So I’ll have to show you. Before I made any changes I heard no sound from obs except from my transitions. After changing things to what you said, I now hear nothing at all. Not even the transitions. But that’s only in obs. I can still hear YouTube videos and music. Just nothing in obs.

The pictures are the settings i had before hand. Idk if this will help or not but I pray it does because this has been a struggle.

Nevermind, they won’t let me send the photo. Keeps saying file is too large.
I set my computer audio to Internal Speaker

In the MIDI area I selected the multi-output device and inside of that I choose ishowU, Yeti, and Built-in Output.

In obs under audio I have Mic/Auxiliary audio on my yeti and Mic/Auxiliary audio2 on ishowU.

With this setting I can’t hear obs but is shows the music and mic working. When I record everything works perfectly but I can’t hear it. It shows up in the recording though. I have no idea what to do. For me to actually hear audio I have to plug my headphones into the tv but then I don’t hear the updates or anything because it’s coming through the tv. Sorry it this isn’t clear. I have no idea how all this works and I have been trying different things all day.

I just figured it out. I see what you were saying now. It was the obs advance settings I had to look at. The monitor music was muted. Thank you for your help. That just made my day.

I have set my hardware audio device as my speakers as my Monitoring Device and mixer as "output and monitor". There is still no sound when I play a video or music. It must be something simple. Any recommendations?

I've tried this, and it did not work for me. If I shut OBS down, I can hear perfectly fine through my headset. If I try to play anything with OBS running, I hear nothing, but "Desktop Audio" in the Audio Mixer registers sound. I'm so frustrated!

Probably due to you using a bluetooth headset, switch to a wired headset.
