Bug Report No Sound in Captured Videos

Hey guys,

i wanted to switch to Multiplatform OBS and im using win10. I dont know what im doing wrong but Video Capturing is working perfectly, there is just no Sound in the Video File, I mean completly NO sound, despite the Mic and Desktop Sound Mixer is showing that there should be sound.

I made a picture showing my options and hope that someone could help me. Btw I can use normal OBS without any problems.

I'm having exactly the same problem - using both Windows Media Player and Films & TV on W10. The audio functions in VLC OK, but everything else I'm just greeted with silence.

Hope this can be resolved as I LOVE the software :)

You're a step ahead of the game, eltel. We usually recommed using
VLC Media Player since it's easier to explain and we don't like causing confusion.
The reason MS' software (WMP & Movies) fails to play the audio is because it lacks the required codecs. You can download these online, but some contain dodgy software, another reason we usually just suggest VLC. I think that the CCCP Project is safe.

Hey well thats kinda good news, Im making youtube videos ill have to try to upload one of the videos to check for the sound if you play it online.

I can tell you that the sound will play on YouTube perfectly fine, so you don't need to worry about that.
