Hey guys:
I'm new here but I have been streaming for a few months and I have a sound problem. I was using a USB headset, the HyperX Cloud 2 to be exact and it was playing sound and people were able to hear the sounds from the game from the stream. I was trying to use the Scarlett 2i2, an audio interface that lets me use a XLR microphone on my computer so, on my streams I can use the XLR and people can hear me. I was having issues with the device with it was "already in use" so I rolled back the driver and VIOLA...I can hear audio and the mic is picked up.
Here is were OBS Studio comes in, I set the interface to the default devices on Windows and OBS can pick up both the audio from the computer and my microphone. HOWEVER, my stream audience cannot hear anything from my desktop audio. I also set the devices manually to the actual input\output for Scarlett 2i2 and I can see the levels go up and down on OBS. And I can HEAR the sound coming into the headphones plugged into it. I tried to change the setup back to the other device, changed it back to the Hyper X Cloud 2 and NOTHING is playing. They can hear my microphone but not my desktop audio.
I restarted OBS and they told me they could hear the audio, but then it goes away. Let it worked for a bit and then it just goes away. But the levels never go away, I can STILL hear my audio and my viewers cannot. The sound from the Desktop just goes away.
I added logs from yesterday from before the audio was the game headset and the logs for today which include the stuff from the Scarlett 2i2 interface. In short, the sounds from the PC and then they go away.
Thanks in advance guys. If I missed something, apologies. Let me know and I will get it as soon as I can.
