Question / Help No sound from line-in input in OBS

I've just switched our music stream from using an analog Behringer mixer to using a digital Mackie DL16S. It has a multi-tracking capability which is great for home recording, and it's been sounding good in some test recordings.

Unfortunately while OBS recognizes the DL16S as an audio input I can't get any sound from it in OBS, despite the mixer working with pro tools and even audacity. The only major difference I can think of is that the DL16S is a "line-in" input instead of a "microphone."

I hope I'm missing something obvious that I'm just to ignorant to catch. Thanks in advance for any help!

OBS is a stereo program with some surround support. It doesn't natively support multichannel audio devices. It's possible that you don't have anything on channel 1&2, which is probably all OBS is seeing, or else OBS is seeing 3&4 by default and there's nothing on those channels.

Look at the OBS-ASIO plugin, I imagine than mixer is ASIO compliant.
