Hi !

As the title said it, I don't have any sound from my capture card Avermedia Extremecap U3.
I try with the software provide by Avermedia, AverMedia RECentral and I got the sound from the capture card.
So the problem don't come from the capture card.

Here, the log from OBS when I start it.

Thanks for your help,

Open the properties for the capture card, go to the bottom section and select the "output to desktop" option.
That helped for me.

Thank you it's working indeed but here the sound the mixed with the desktop audio (music on youtube for instance).
And it was usefull to split the audio source for the recording.
So any idea why it doesn't work without setting "output to desktop" ?

There is the option to "use custom output device" which might have an option to select whatever is comming from your AVerMedia. I don't have a U3, so I can't test it. If there is, you might actually be better of selecting that. Make sure it says "somethingsomething Stream" since that is the uncompressed version. If that is not there, go with whatever AVerMedia, or the method specified above.

Also, you can still do the "audio monitor" thing:
In the properties for the capture card, select "capture audio only"
Next, go to the cogwheel in the audio section of OBS, and select "advanceed audio properties"
Select your capture card and set it to "monitor and output"
That way it should have it's own mixertrack if working as it should.

Thanks for your answer, I try the two method and none of them work :'(
For the "custom output device", I only got a list of my microphone (input) and it seems that it replace the sound by the microphone.
And about the "audio monitor" doesn't work either, because there are nothing to monitoring since there are no sound.

Here some screenshot

I don't really understand the crashlogs that well.
If you have tried rebooting your PC and it still happens, try and reinstall OBS.

That's a crash within the capture card software.
You might get an alternative to overwriting the sound of your microphone output by using virtual audio devices such as vb-audio cable: https://www.vb-audio.com/Cable/index.htm
It can act like a microphone with no microphone actually connected, so you can use it to pass through any other audio.

Wow it works again !!
I just changed the USB port and run adwcleaner software.
And for no reason, the sound from the capture card is working !
