Just to make sure we are on the same page, I am not trying to have it record my microphone and desktop sounds at the same time. All I want is the microphone, and silence is what I am getting.
I would expect with default settings, as in letting it figure things out on its own, would result in some activity in the default sound device (something, anything happening in the sound bar in the audio mixer associated with Mic/Aux), but nothing. I set my headset as a USB device (how I usually run it in zoom and google calls and listening to music) and nothing. I then connect it to the mic/headphone port in this macbookpro running Mojave, verify both sound is being sent to headset's speakers and from its microphone, tell OBS to use those, and it still does not report any sound.
What could I be missing?
