"no QT platform plugin" Error on Windows 8.1

Can someone help me out with a problem I’m having with OBS Studio? Program will not open.

System Info: Windows 8.1

Application File: OBS-Studio-28.1.2-Full-Installer-x64.exe

I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled several times with the same error.

Things I have already tried that have not fixed the problem.

• Uninstall and reinstall
• Downloaded and installed (python-3.11.0-amd64.exe) from python site.
• sfc /scannow
• DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
• DISM.exe / Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

I am still getting the following error on program startup.

OBS v28 requires windows 10 or above. please see the previous versions section of the downloads page for a version that will work with windows 8

try this one https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/releases/tag/27.2.4
