Question / Help No PS4 Audio coming through OBS - works through capture card software

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone had a solution for the following problem:

I currently have the El Gato HD Capture card (not the hd60) set up to my computer and PS4. Ideally, what I wanted was for my stream to hear ALL audio, including party chat. Due to some strange PS4 complications, I was told I needed an audio splitter to enable the chat to carry over - I have one and it works fine. Now when I'm in the El Gato software, I'm able to hear all audio (game, party chat, etc) from the console. Yet as soon as I open OBS (studio), no party chat audio (my own PS4 mic or theirs) comes through. Only one of these programs can run at a time. I am using a HyperX Cloud 2 headset for my PS4, and a blue snowball mic for my computer.

Would I have to get an HDMI splitter, to be able to connect an extra input/output for the chat such as this?
I have also read these two threads, neither of them have solved the issue:

I've been really eager to start streaming and it's awfully discouraging when there's still something going wrong.

Thanks in advance for the help!

**Forgot to mention that I've already tried selecting analog audio in the Game Capture config panel, no luck!

How exactly are you checking that the audio is or isn't getting through?

I've looked at the "El Gato" mixer while OBS is running, and the volume does not fluctuate or change when members of the party talk - but game audio seems comes through fine. Also a few test streams proved that no party chat could be heard.
