No output with mic pluggd in

Using mint 22


I'm new to obs and recording in general. Here's the problem I'm having:
I use a Yeti Blue mic but I can only hear the output if I unplug it. I have a Vizio soundbar as my speaker.
When I plug the mic back in, it won't record. I have to restart obs to record again.

I hope I've given the correct info to fix this.
