No "+" or "-" sign for transitions

I want to add new transitions but there is no "+" or "-" sign in the transitions section. I have "+" or "-" signs in the other areas. Suggestions please. ~ Thx

Hello, i quickly made an account to help you out here because i had the same problem. There should be a drop-down menu like this in the 'scene transitions' section -->

Then you can add your transitions. There might be some missing from the drop-down menu but if you scroll down enough you should find what your looking for, hope this helps :)
