I'm totally new to OBS and streaming and all of that. I've searched around and can't seem to find anyone with the issue I'm having. So here is my setup:
I'm using a MacBook Pro early 2015 with a 3.1 GHz processor, 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB SSD. I have OBS 19.0.3 (mac)
I recently purchased an Epiphan 4K Capture device, and a Panasonic Lumix G7 Camera that shoots 4K.
When I don't have the Epiphan hooked up to OBS (and even when I do) I go into the settings of OBS to change my video settings...the highest I get is 1920x1080...I'm seeing all kinds of videos of people just clicking that drop down menu and selecting the resolution for 4K...I thought my Mac was able to produce that kind of a picture, but not entirely sure. I seem to be able to load 4K videos just fine on youtube...so I'm not sure why I cannot select the option in OBS.
Why don't I have the 4K option?
Update: Never mind everyone...it seems MacBooks have never had a 4K screen...just discovered this! My bad!
