No game audio pls help i'm losing ym mind

Hi

I have a nintendo switch and an imac and i am using a simple capture card to be able to see the game on my imac screen through obs. This all works fine.
Yesterday i opened obs and it updated and i was able to play With sound. I tried again today and no matter what i do there's just No sound. I've been able to get it working before and then by doing the exact same things it just doesn't work.
I don't want to record or stream or anything, i'm just using my imac as a monitor really, just to see and hear the game.

I've tried using a program like IShowU but that also didn't work.

What i have done is added an audio input capture, the device has three options which are default, built-in microphone and USB digital audio. The last one is the one that's supposed to work. I go to advanced audio properties and change audio monitoring to monitor and output.
I've tried going to settings, audio and selecting USB digital audio under mic/aux audio and then in advanced audio properties putting it to monitor and output.

I don't understand how this has worked sometimes and now just doesn't i just really want to play just dance and i kinda need the sound for that pls help

Hey. To be honest: as for me, the fastest and easiest way to fix this will be to downgrade to the earlier macOS version (macOS Catalina)
Shouldn't be a big problem on macOS10.15 Catalina

my tip is dont use it direct in OBS the best way is it use it in VLC player without catching so the sound and picture works everytime perfect in sync !

hi! thanks for your suggestion, i downloaded the program but i still can't get any sound working. i'm starting to think it might just be a problem of the capture device but thanks for your help !!

So this would solve problems with OBS being unable to capture sound in MacOS?
