Question / Help No Elgato sound on stream/recording although OBS shows audio activity

Hello all,

I've been using an Elgato HD60 Pro very successfully with OBS Studio. I updated the software yesterday and ever since, OBSS won't put captured audio into streams or recordings. At all. OBS shows that there is, in fact, audio activity (normal levels) on the captured audio line, but it's simply not in the stream or videos. If I use Elgato's own Game Capture HD software, everything works perfectly with sound.

I have checked all Windows/OBS settings and I see nothing amiss.

Can anyone help me please? I had to quit my stream tonight over this and I'm running my first 24h stream on Saturday.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, after the update when I ran OBS, I got an error message about Elgato Sound Capture not loading or something. Even after multiple restarts, this never occurred again, but sound is missing (ONLY in OBS, although it shows that there's perfectly fine capture sound in the level mixer in OBS.)

Another Update: I've just reinstalled Elgato Drivers. Still works perfectly on Game Capture HD. Doesn't work on OBS. I have always had set audio recording in the Capture's audio settings to the device (or, as it's called in Studio, not ticked "manually choose audio source" or something like that - even when I tried it didn't work) but no dice.

And another update: I got it to work when I created a new scene set and a new capture source in there. Then I created a new capture source in my old scene set and it worked. Then I started streaming and it didn't work again. WTF

OK, this is beyond weird. Beyond weird.

I recreated the source in my old scene set. Then I noticed that in a scene where the elgato capture is on top of all other sources, sound works. In another scene where it's under some other things, sound is gone. With my community I was able to pinpoint that if it's ABOVE an OBS slideshow source, sound works. If it's BELOW said slideshow, it doens't.

What the hell? :D

Okay I'm having the exact same issue with my Roxio. I'm going to test out your slideshow thingy and see if it works for me as well.
