Recently purchased the UltraStudio Mini Recorder. I can view the camera via BlackMagic Media Express and can also view the camera using Wirecast. But I only see a black screen using OBS. OBS sees the BlackMagic device and is listed as a Source. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

MacBook Pro using Sierra 10.12.4

Processor Name:Intel Core i5
Processor Speed:2.7 GHz
Intel Iris Graphics 6100

Thanks!

Exact same issue here. I can view the camera via QT and a couple of other programs, just not OBS.
Let me know if you hear anything Jeremy and I'll do the same.

For me, I couldn't see any image from the Mini Recorder in any program. With everything running, I launched OBS and randomly clicked the pulldown next to YUV settings - and an image appeared. I'm not sure if this is a "fix" per se, but I can only say that I had a hard time finding ANY advice on this problem so just start pushing buttons and see what happens.

This seems really lame on the part of blackmagic. I have a request in to their support. I'll update this thread if I learn anything else.

OBS supports a wide range of frame sizes, refresh rates, and color spaces. If you don't have those ALL set right in the video source settings, you won't get a picture.

I don't have an Ultra Studio but I did use OBS on MacOS with an Intensity Shuttle for quite awhile. You have to either use a default preset or know exactly what mode you want to use, or else you'll get a black screen.

I can't get it to work by using the BMD source but I got it to work somewhat by adding a Video Captue Device and then drop down. Can only get 30 fps though

1080. Don't see why it won't get to 60fps. The hdmi out on the canon r800 is 1080i. You would think (at least I did) that the 2 would play well together. At 1080/30 the video gets jiggly when you pan the camera

the ultrastudio mini only supports 1080i60, not 1080p60.
You'll probably see interlacing if you're running at i59.94
