Bug Report No desktop audio in x64(it works in x86) OBS 20.0.1 with C985 AVerMedia Live Gamer HD

For some reason on my C985 AVerMedia Live Gamer HD I can't get desktop audio (Output Desktop Audio - DirectSound / WaveOut) with it in OBS 20.0.1 x64(Game audio only - is the only one working). When I try the same on OBS Studio x86 version it works all fine on all 3 options. I've uninstalled OBS Studio, restarted the computer and installed again the latest version and its still happening for me. This of course used to work before all perfectly with no issues.

I did also uninstalled the capture card driver(restarted pc) and installed the current latest one as well but no change for OBS x64, yes its working as intended as well fine in classic obs for both x64/86.

Video for showing what it does on both x64/x86

Log that includes changing the audio of it for x64:

Couldn't you just use the audio monitoring feature instead if you want to hear the capture card audio?

I just tested it I can't hear it through that either in x64
Assuming you mean putting the capture audio output to "Capture Audio Only", then in mixer sources, on the capture source(or any), advanced audio properties... then on the capture named source changing 'Monitor Off' to either 'Monitor Only(mute output)' or 'Monitor and Output'. After 'close' on each I still can't hear anything but tested both x64 and x86, can't hear nothing like that unless I am doing it wrong what you suggested

Either way this is still a bug or some issue that out of nowhere x64 output to desktop no longer is working, but its still working in x86

I honestly think right now it must be something on Windows it self that broke because today I tested uninstalling the current OBS Studio and as well Avermedia drivers and went with older versions, testing each one(uninstall / restarting computer / install ver --- did that on each for obs studio 20.0.1, 20.0, 19.0.3 and 19.0.2 --- avermedia 116, 115, 112) and every single one Output to Desktop Audio doesn't work anymore in x64. I guess my only choice is to do a clean Windows 10 install assuming its windows the issue here because it obviously was working before and going with older obs studio and avermedia versions not fixing it that is the only thing left 'extreme' to test.

Unless someone offers another idea to test

I'm having the same issue....although I do have audio in video just using vanilla display capture, it's barely audible and the little that I can hear is garbled. OS is Windows 10, on a new Asus laptop w/Nvdia GEFORCE. A co-worker has a Windows 10 laptop (about a year old),hadn't applied the latest update to OBS and she had no problem with audio...same OBS settings as I have.
