No connection between OBS and Sony remote

Hello,
I got a sony a6500, switched it to remote, connected it to my macbook pro (16 inch 2019) with mac os catalina 10.15.6 via Sony remote Software. That works so far. I got an image on the remote app but if I try to set the video capture device on the OBS in the menu "remote" does not show up.
How can I solve this problem?

The Sony software doesn't act as a device input. Your a6500 I think has a mini hdmi output and you need to marry that to a hdmi capture card that converts it to a usb input.

Hello Cindydoo,
thanks for your quick reply. I found out what the problem was. The good thing is - yes you can use a Sony camera as an input device via USB. In my case under system preferences, Screen recording I had to allow the app "cam twist" (which you also need, but there are youtube tutorials for the settings) to record my desktop screen. That's all.
