Hey all - new here so sorry if this has been covered.
New to OBS - using it for a high school broadcast class I teach for the purpose of recording our daily announcements to post for community viewing.
Have a canon vixia running through a blackmagic min-recorder into a new mac studio computer. Everything works great with the hiccup that on startup there's no video feed. Every time I start up I need to go to the camera settings and toggle off hdmi to sdi, and then back to hdmi - when I come back to hdmi the video feed will start again and be fine from there on.
Obviously the comment can be made "looks like you solved your problem" but i'm just trying to figure out if there's anything I can do to configure this differently to avoid this issue in the first place.
