Just want to thank to the devs. that now I have a recording solution which works for me
using AVerMedia C985 Live Gamer HD Lite + OBS MP 0.12.3 - 64 bit - directly (without Stream Engine)
on Win 7, and here is the proof

Can you post screenshots of your settings? I can't even record on AverMedia Live Gamer HD...

Sorry for your trouble. I'm fairly new with this forum and with OBS as well :)
I don't know much about forum's structure but, I guess, must be some tutorial for capturing with C985.
The people here seems to be very helpful and, if you provide some logs, you might receive more qualified help than from me, for sure.
