None of that would have no audio at all though, except *maybe* the Windows Insider build. But I still doubt that. What do you have in the Advanced Audio Properties?
Also more information, i am now using the software on cdrom that came with it and it works, its much more limited but at least its working so i know its not a hardware issue,
Settings exist for a reason, instead of being hardcoded, and there's so much variety in the way that we use it, that very few of us remember what the default settings were. By the same token, the default settings are likely to cause problems for a lot of people, no matter what they are. (making something else the default, only changes the names in the group that has problems, not the size of that group)
Media production is inherently technical. If you go outside of someone's easy-to-use single-function app, there's a very steep learning curve! Understand what each setting does, and set them all on purpose to what you need specifically. Lots of knowledge in this forum to help you do that, but you need to drive it.
