Question / Help No audio with AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable Lite (LGP Lite)

I just bought the LGP Lite device to watch, to listen to and to record (if necessary) the input from different video sources. OBS has the potential to serve me best, however, it does not capture any sound from the LGP Lite – neither showing it in the mixer screen, nor recording it, nor sending it to the speakers.
I tried to change all kinds of audio settings I could find (i.e. Edit/Advanced Audio Properties) which didn’t work out. In contrary, by changing the source properties/Audio Output Mode from “Capture Audio only” to “Output desktop audio (DirectSound)” or “Output desktop audio (WaveOut)” the video input will vanish too (by the way, same happens when trying to change Resolution / FPS Type from “Default” to “Custom” – what isn’t significant to me).
This is independent from the video source – I tried two different ones.
Software and drivers are the newest (installed last week). Only Windows10 hasn’t done its last update yet.
I do get audio when capturing from a video file.
I do get audio when using AVerMedia’s RECentral Software (which does not include features that I found in OBS).
Neither VLC nor the freeware version of QuickTime for Windows (not supported anymore…) do work with capturing devices. Are there any other alternatives?
When looking at a OBS-Log-file, I read that there is something missing in some DLL-files or so!? I do not understand it, nor can I resolve it. I would appreciate your kind help.
