I have OSB Studio 27.0.1 on my computer. I am using a Toshiba VHS player trying to copy personal VHS tapes to my hard drive on a Windows 10 computer. The toshiba sends the video and audio to the converter plugged into a usb port. It works fine as far a making a MP4 video and the recorded video has sound. My problem is that I can not hear the audio while Im playing the tapes to make the recording. I dont want to record the whole VHS tape just the parts I want to keep. How do I set up the OSB to have sound while playing the tape on the VHS for recording.

Activate audio monitoring for your capture device:
Go to Edit->Advanced Audio Properties and set the "Audio Monitoring" setting for your vhs device from "Monitor off" to "Monitor and Output". Make sure you don't output your Windows audio to your recording by disabling the "Desktop Audio" source or unchecking the track or just removing it from Settings->Audio. If you don't do this, output will either become a feedback loop, an echo, or plain silent.

In case you're still not hearing anything, go to Settings->Audio and make sure the Advanced->Monitoring device is set to some Windows audio source you have speakers or headphones connected to.
