Question / Help No audio when switching resolutions back and forth (avermedia lghd c985)

This has been a persistent issue since I've started using OBS Studio. It always seems to lose audio when I switch from one resolution to another, or when the resolution between my capture card and my gaming PC's monitor don't match up. For example, if I try and use a resolution of 1024x768 on my gaming monitor, and SWITCH from a resolution like 1280x720p to 1024x768, I don't get any audio (as per this vod https://www.twitch.tv/videos/124958937).

The only work around I've found for this issue is completely restarting OBS to get audio back. And if I have viewers in my stream, I'd rather not lose those viewers.

I'm not sure where to turn, guys :(

You can change almost everything during stream (except bitrate and output resolution) so no need to completely restart a stream for most stuff. So feel free to fiddle with your capture card with a running stream.

It looks like that doesn't work. If I change the "audio output mode" option to something that's not "capture audio only", it captures the audio from the streaming computer rather than the gaming computer, and then loops it over and over. I still have to exit OBS completely to get audio back.
