Question / Help No Audio Playing MP4's?

OBS Studio 21.1.2

I am using Media Source --> local file --> file.mp4

It plays fine in my Windows Media Player. But when I try to play it in OBS, the video is fine but no audio?
The Mixer section for Media Source is active and appears to be working but I can't hear squat!

Most of the same issues I googled where for a much older version that does not even look like the current version.

It's probably something simple, but I think I tried just about every setting. I may have missed something. There seems
to be Audio settings in multiple places including Output, Audio, and Advanced sections. Why isn't all audio settings in one area?

You need to use audio monitoring for VLC and Media sources.

Apparently when you want to play an MP4 for instance, you will not hear the audio. You will hear it at the location OBS is sending it to.
Weird....

I still have this issue too. The audio is going out to the stream but there is no way to monitor it. Even when I have the audio for the media source set to Monitor & Output.
