Question / Help No audio (locally) when using media source

I have a video that I use for my stream intro, and rely on the audio for cues as to when I need to be prepared to unmute etc. Is there something I am overlooking to be able to do this? I would think it should be a simple thing, after all the browser plugin plays audio just fine. If this is by design, I feel it is a bad design.

I can't even think of a good reason why this wouldn't have been the way it was from the get go, why would you not want to hear the audio from a media file being played? Makes no sense.

The audio is handled by CEF, not by the browser source plugin itself.
For the media source audio handling would have to be coded in, which isn't extremely hard, but wasn't a high priority for 0.14.

So uh...
Is this going to get implemented/fixed soon or what?
It's been a few months now...

Funny how OBS Classic has this functionality w/ Plugins. (With no echo or issues I might add)

What good is playing a video when we can't hear the audio to know when the cues are? Makes NO sense.
I really would love to know who benefits from this because right now... There's no benefit to any streamer having it muted.

Or does anyone know of a plugin to add to Studio to make it work? Thanks.
