NO AUDIO FROM MAGEWELL USB CAPTURE HDMI REV 2

I've been having trouble with an Elgato Cam Link 4k dropping audio when we start, stop, start a stream. I bought the Magewell thinking it would work out of the box and I can't get ANY audio. Windows 10 Pro 19041.630 64bit. Newest OBS version. I'm stumped!

More on this ... I went into the Control Panel / Sounds and found the video capture device. It appears to be working correctly (I can see a level fluctuate on the icon), and when I check "listen" I can hear it through the headphones ... but still nothing through OBS.

Magewell capture devices separate audio so that shows up as a recording device in windows. Add a "Audio Input Device" in OBS, and select the magewell audio device.
