I am trying to help my brother set up a video capture card so that he can use his Nintendo Switch on his laptop. He wants to use the laptop screen as a larger monitor for his Switch. So far I have got it connected up and you can play the Switch but there is no audio. I also tried it with a PS4 but it has the same issues.
Just to rule out a faulty capture card, I tried it with my PC and monitor and I can get sound through OBS on PS4 and Switch. Is there something wrong with the laptop? It is a fairly recent one and has decent specs. I'm just at a loss of what to do. I have set the capture card to monitor and output but no sound is output on the laptop.
