Can see the video from my camcorder but can't hear its audio
My goal is to digitize the analog video and mono audio from my Canon ES170 camcorder and turn it into mp4 files. To do this I use the following hardware:
1. A Dell laptop computer to running OBS Studio.
2. A box that converts the analog video and mono audio from the camcorder into HDMI 1080p 60Hz signals. This signal is connected to a second box.
3. A second box passes the HDMI 1080p 60Hz signal straight through to a monitor. This box also provides a USB 3.0 port to be connected to the USB 3.0 port on the laptop computer for feeding information to OBS Studio.
Software:
Windows 10 (latest updates)
OBS Studio version 30.0.2 64 bit
The video and audio from the camcorder are seen and heard on the monitor. I can see the video in OBS Studio using the Video Capture Device as the source. But I cannot find/hear the audio in OBS. I have tried different audio sources but still no audio. I must not have OBS setup properly. What do I need to do in the setup to hear the audio from the camcorder?
