Bug Report No audio bug STILL happens...

When I switch my audio to a new source, it wont record the audio. The application needs to be quit then reloaded for the audio to record.

This is the first launch where I switch my audio to "Headset Microphone (Corsair VOID PRO Wireless Gaming Headset)"

The recording had no audio despite the fact that OBS showed levels on the "Webcam" meter.

I quit and relaunch and changed nothing, made a quick record and there was good audio in the second one.

OBS seems to not be incorporating switched devices correctly, if it truly requires a restart for this change to take effect, there should be an alert to the user, and the levels shouldn't work for that matter.

in your first log your device is buffering to max value; when that happens, audio may still move on the meters but it might not output. I guess this is what happens. If you show up on discord, i'll guide you on some more tests (ping me @pkv, i'm one of the devs)

Makes sense, in the first log the OBS is trying to access a device by name, that Windows/Device Mfg decided to change in their infinite wisdom, it was the same device but for whatever reason at some point the name of it as Windows sees it has changed slightly, making any reference to the device by it's previous name impossible, thus why I changed the audio source in the first log as can bee seen.

That said if the audio device is changed, the buffer and any other related objects should be disposed and new instances created referencing the new device (though in my case still technically the same only differs by name) to avoid any such issues.

On top of abandoning that bug, just had one where the entire 2hr45min stream I just did the camera was not on the selected camera source, the preview window showed what I wanted but the stream only had my webcam (no this was not in studio mode where this a a preview and a live window, this was normal simple mode). I just bought a vMix license, while its nice that OBS is free and that may be good enough for some people, I need something more reliable.
