Newbie - sound cut out intermittently after 5 or 6 seconds

Hi there - I'm a newbie and have started using OBS.
I'm recording a powerpoint show with my voice and video.
The audio seems to cut out every 5 seconds or so.
I'm using a Rode NT-USB as my microphone. I tried on other apps and the sound is fine. Maybe it's a sound setting I'm missing?
Would appreciate any help . Thanks
