Hello,

I just ran into this OBS project today, very interested in trying it out.

I currently have a setup using ffmpeg capturing HDMI from a camcorder using UltraStudio Mini Recorder on a MacBook Pro. The camcorder doesn't output audio, so I have a separate Mic connected to the laptop and muxed in with ffmpeg.

This setup works pretty well, and I feed the live stream to a Red5 server.

Is this something that the OBS project can also do? Does it work well on OSX to capture from the UltraStudio?

I'm going to install OBS to play around with it but I just wanted to get a heads up on whether it's something that can do what I currently have going with ffmpeg.

What other capture devices are supported on OBS for OSX?

Let me answer my own question...

TWO BIG THUMBS UP for this software :-) Installed on the MacBook Pro, and was able to get the BlackMagic UltraStudio recognized, was able to setup streaming to Red5, and played around with the settings. Seems to work very well at first glance.

I will need to do more long term testing to see if there are any problems.
