Nice program, but it is sure darn confusing to me as a newbie! I probably missed it.

I wanted to record a small live video stream in a web page in a web browser, but I couldn't find a way. I only saw fullscreen, browser window (don't need the whole web browser), etc. I did find the preview to move and resize the red box, but that didn't work for what I wanted. I just wanted to draw a red box on the video screen in a web page like on
http://www.funnyplace.org/stream/farmers-insurance-a-huge-drag-27157/ web page. Other non-free screen recorders could do this easily. I am hoping OBS can too especailly when it is free. Also, I am using an old, updated 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 PC with 6 GB of RAM and ATI Radeon 4870 HD video card (512 MB of VRAM).

I hope to get an answer soon. :)

What exactly didn't work you? Unfortunately, your example doesn't give me any insight about what you want to achieve. If you mean "move and resize the red box", did you press and hold the ALT key down while moving the borders? This way you are able to cut a small area out of any source. The borders where such cropping takes place turns into green to represent this.
