Newbie. No Video input from Video camera

This is my first time using OBS. I wish to use it to transfer old videos from my Sony DCR-TRV320E Digital8 video camera using a USB Video Grabber BR116-UK-S
I am connecting using the RCA cables. I believe I have set it up according to the instructions, but when I try to record, it is only registering sound, no video. I have confirmed that the audio video cable from the camera is working by playing the video through the television. The screen shot below shows what happens when I try to record. There is no activity on the Video Capture device. I have checked that all cables are fully connected.

I'm not sure what I did, but it is now working! I do have one more question. The picture from the camcorder is 3:4 aspect ratio, but the only resolutions I can see on the settings are 16:9. Is there any way to change this?

In Settings > Video click into the input fields and enter any resolution you want for canvas and output. You're not restricted to the dropdown values.

Excuse my ignorance, but what would an equivalent resolution be in 3:4

Sorry, correction, it's 5:4. Would 1350 x 1080 work for that?

Aaargh! It's not working again!
I copied a whole video last night. Plugged it in again this morning and I've only got sound. I've tried using a different USB port and checking the connections. Help!
