New Web Cam

Hoping somone can help me/clarfty my thinking of a new web cam

Currently my output (scaled) resolution is 1280 x 720 as my computer cant handle any more

So is there much point in getting at 1080 webcam? i would have thought not, because it would be downscaled to 1280 x 720 as this is what i am outputting.

Any help would be great

get the 1080..
I don't think it makes a difference that much in cost of the cam and you don't have to stream it at 1080 if you don't want to.
I leave my base and output the same at 1920x1080

Thanks for that. Yes this is true...not much difference in cost but there is some cost so not much point in getting one if my assumption is correct and that 720 is my output?
