I am quite good with Tech and wanted to record some game play from my PS4 on games where recording is blocked by the game makers using the inbuilt recording on the PS4. I therefore bought a £35 ebay USB3 4K game capture device and I have got it working with OBS Studio.
I have tried it on my Desktop PC and it works well. This is a refurbished PC with an SSD Drive and is quite quick.
This PC is quite a way from my PS4 however so I have now tried it with OBS on my Laptop which is only about 2 years old but is not a high spec one. When I use the laptop the recording is very jerky and laggy. I am assuming that the Laptop is not up to spec.
Any ideas if there is anything I can do so that I can use the Laptop
