What is this OBS? I just purchased a used Sony digital 8 camcorder and want to be able to offload the tapes through a usb interface cable to my Windows 7 (yes, I said 7) computer. Is this software that will help me do this? Thanks

yes, OBS can help with that. you will need an older version check the link on the downloads page for previous versions.
